Dr Abhi Pal

BDS (London), MGDSRCSI, FCGDent, FDSRCPS(Glasgow), FICD

Qualified Guy ’s Hospital London in 1987 with honours and distinction. Abhi has been working at this practice since 1991 as the Lead Clinician and is now a partner. He has extensive experience in Restorative and Implant Dentistry. He has taught MSc courses in Implant and Restorative Dentistry at Warwick University between 2008 and 2015. He holdsFellowhips of : the College of General Dentistry; the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (Dental Faculty); and the International College of Dentists – all of which are significant quality indicators of the practice of dentistry. He served as the first President of the College of General Dentistry between 2021 and 2024. He has been involved in the development of several Clinical Guidelines including Training Standards in Implant Dentistry. He continues to be an Educational Supervisor and supports the training of new graduates, a role he has held since 1996.

Abhi provides Independent Expert Witness reports in dento-legal matters for lawyers, regulatory bodies and defence organisations. He is an external dental adviser for the Gibraltar Medical Registration Board He has completed training accredited by Cardiff University Law School as an Expert Witness. Dr Fatimah Mawji (née Jawaid)

BDS (Birmingham), MFDSRCSEd, PGCert MedEd, MSc Prosthodontics (Kings), FCGDent

Fatimah became Practice Principal in 2025 and has been a valued member of the team since graduating from the University of Birmingham with Distinction in 2012. She went on to complete an MSc in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at King ’s College London, achieving a further distinction. A dedicated clinician and educator, Fatimah is a Foundation Dentist Trainer for the West Midlands Deanery, supporting and mentoring newly qualified dentists as they begin their careers. She is also a Fellow of the College of General Dentistry, reflecting her commitment to clinical excellence and ongoing professional development.
Fatimah has a special interest in smile makeovers and aesthetic dentistry. As an accredited Invisalign provider, she is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles they truly love.
Outside of dentistry, Fatimah loves travelling with her husband and two children and exploring new places.

Dr Shravan Tewary

BDS
GDC Registration number 275032

Shravan graduated in 2016 and has been working in general dental practice for the past three years. He has gained extensive experience in both fixed and removable orthodontics and is a certified provider for the entire range of Invisalign treatment including Invisalign Express, Lite, Comprehensive and Invisalign Teen. He is an Associate Member of the College of General Dentistry.

He has been a co-opted member of the West Midlands Divisional Board of the Faculty of General Dental Practice since 2018 rising to Education Lead in this time. Shravan has expertise in photography and has completed a 4-week dental photography course from the University of Birmingham.

Outside of dentistry Shravan enjoys playing badminton. He is Chairman of his local club and plays 3 days a week.

Dr Noumaan Zafar

GDC Registration number 302819

Noumaan joined UDC in 2024 after graduating with Distinction from the University of Leeds and completing his foundation training in Worcestershire.

He is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care and takes a calm, patient-centered approach to all treatments. Noumaan enjoys providing a wide range of general dental services, with a particular focus on root canal treatments, and is always pursuing further professional development to stay current with the latest advances in dentistry.

Outside of the clinic, Noumaan can be found on the golf course, constantly working to improve his handicap - any tips are always welcome!

Dr Pardeep Sondhi

GDC Registration number 309924

Pardeep joined the University Dental Centre in September 2024. He is a dedicated and compassionate dentist who graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2023, where he was awarded the prestigious Francis-Fish Prize for Restorative Dentistry. More recently, Pardeep received a regional award for the Best Case in Birmingham and the Black Country as part of their Dental Foundation Training (DFT) scheme, showcasing his expertise and commitment to advancing dental care in the community.
Pardeep is called by the nickname “Paddy” by his family and friends, and is happy for his patients to call him this also. With a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, Pardeep prides himself on providing the highest quality treatment and ensuring a comfortable experience for all patients.
Outside of work Pardeep is enjoys going to the gym, playing Badminton and is a film fanatic who loves all genres of movies. He also enjoys traveling with friends and family.

Dr Prabjot Hothi

Prabhjot is the Foundation Dentist at University Dental Centre. A graduate of the University of Birmingham, she is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds and strives to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident throughout their dental journey — particularly those who may feel anxious about treatment. With a keen interest in restorative and preventative dentistry, Prabhjot is committed to helping the local community maintain healthy, happy smiles — one positive visit at a time.

Dr Animesh Pal

GDC Registration number 289552

Dr Animesh Pal is a clinician with an interest in oral surgery, dental implants and sedation dentistry. He is experienced in providing advanced surgical care and managing patients who require complex or anxiety-sensitive treatment pathways.
He provides two dedicated session per month, focusing on oral surgery, implant dentistry and intravenous sedation. He works closely with the wider clinical team to ensure safe, seamless and comfortable treatment throughout their surgical journey.

Dr Manisha Dhamija

GDC Registration number 229464

Manisha studied dentistry at Sheffield University and graduated in 2012. She is in the midst of completing her Endodontic masters and takes on challenging cases at the practice. She interacts with patients in a compassionate and understanding manner to keep them at ease. Dr Manisha provides two dedicated sessions per month at the practice exclusively for challenging root canal procedures, including re-treatments.
Outside of dentistry, Manisha enjoys spending time with her family and has two young children. She enjoys travelling and keeping active.

Robinder Kaur Seera

With 26 years of experience as a dental hygienist, Robinder is a dedicated professional and has been a valued member of the University Dental Centre since 2018. Originally qualified from Karolinska Institute, in Stockholm Sweden, in 1999, Robinder moved to the UK in 2000 to follow her dream and she has continued to build her career here. Robinder has also gained additional qualifications in clinical examination and the supply of administration of medicines, enhancing her expertise in patient care.
Known for being a chatty and approachable team member, Robinder excels in providing excellent patient care, ensuring that every patient feels comfortable and well-informed during their patient journey.
Outside of work Robinder enjoys travelling, eating good food and socializing with family and friends. Balancing her professional life, she is also a devoted wife and a proud mother of 3 children, making her life both fulfilling and dynamic.

Suzie Watkin

Suzanne is a dental hygienist at The University Dental and Implant Centre, having joined the team in 2011. She qualified in this field with distinction from The University of Bristol in 2011. Since then, Suzanne has worked in private practice in Birmingham.
Suzanne strives to deliver the highest level of clinical care possible, and is passionate about providing her patients with the education needed to prevent oral disease. She also has a degree in general nursing and because of this has a very caring and holistic manner, which complements her clinical skills.
Outside of work, Suzanne is very happily married with a young daughter. In her spare time, she very much enjoys swimming, art, travelling, and the great outdoors.

Sarah Hill

GDC Registration number 228738

Sarah qualified as a dental hygienist from the University of Bristol, with distinction, in 2012, and also holds a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Southampton as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education from the University of Plymouth. She has previously been a lecturer in Community-Based Dentistry at Peninsula Dental School – a role which included clinical supervision, assessing practical and written examinations, and working with students on community projects – and a sales representative for GlaxoSmithKline.
One of her passions is making sure that her patients are at ease during treatment.  She also delivers presentations across the country to dental hygiene and therapy students on behalf of TePe.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys baking, running and spending time with her family in the garden.

Melissa Fieldhouse

Melissa has worked within the dental field since 1996 and qualified as a dental nurse in 1997 achieving the National Certificate in Dental Nursing. With over 25 years of dedicated service to the University Dental Centre, Melissa has established herself as an accomplished Practice Manager. Together with her qualification as a Dental Nurse, combined with Dental Radiography and Dental Practice Management, this showcases a commitment to both professional growth and excellence in patient care.
Melissa works full time as our Practice Manager, however you will see her from time to time working at reception and very occasionally in surgery. She is registered as a Dental Care Professional with the GDC.
Melissa balances a fulfilling career with family life, she is happily married and a proud mum of two children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at her holiday home in the Cotswolds, cruising, exploring new destinations and creating lasting memories with her loved ones.

Geraldine Power

Geraldine has over 30 years of experience in the dental industry, demonstrating a deep commitment to the dental profession. Geraldine qualified in 1991 and joined the University Dental Centre in 1992, this building a strong foundation in dentistry and patient care. Recently Geraldine obtained a Dental Radiography qualification, this showing her dedication to continuous learning and professional development, alongside her expertise including dental implants, allowing her to provide comprehensive care to her patients. Geraldine also works at reception, where she manages patient interactions and appointments with efficiency and care. Outside of work, Geraldine cherishes her time spent with her family, valuing the connections she has with loved ones. She is also a creative individual, who enjoys expressing herself through various artistic pursuits. Geraldine is married with 3 grown up children and 2 dogs, adding to the joy and companionship in her family life.

Josie Bown

Josie has over 20 years experience in dentistry, she is a dedicated professional and has spent the last 19 years here at University Dental Centre, where she has increased her skills and expertise. Josie is a qualified dental nurse, but has also received specialist training in dental implants, orthodontics, bone grafting and sinus surgery. Josie’s extensive knowledge allows her to provide comprehensive care to her patients.
In addition to her clinical skills, Josie also works on reception, showcasing her excellent communication abilities. Josie is known for her exceptional patient care, ensuring that each individual feels valued and well-informed throughout their dental journey. Josie’s commitment to both dentistry and patient interaction makes her a vital member of our team.

Natalie Attwell

With over 30 years of experience in dentistry, Natalie is a qualified dental nurse who has built a solid reputation in this field. She holds a qualification in radiography and joined the University Dental Centre in 2022, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. Additionally, Natalie is trained in reception duties, showcasing versatility and commitment to providing exceptional patient care and support.
Outside of work Natalie is a mom to 2 sons and has 2 grandsons, who keep her very busy! She also enjoys football and most Saturdays are taken up supporting West Bromwich Albion.

Petra Takacs-Nagy

Petra qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2018 in Birmingham and become part of the UDC family in 2022. She is a dedicated and motivated professional with a special interest in Endodontics and Orthodontics.

Outside of work, Petra enjoys meaningful conversations, exploring new experiences, and continuously learning and growing in different aspects of life.

Liya Hussain

Liya joined the University Dental Centre in 2022. She is a very committed individual who has the vision to grow professionally within the practice and takes pride in all aspects of her role. She has recently become our social media lead at the practice, which is something she finds really enjoyable both in and out of work.
Outside of work, Liya enjoys socialising with family and friends.

Pam Sadler

Pam is a highly experienced dental nurse with over 30 years of experience in the profession. Pam joined the University Dental Centre in 2024 where she enjoys using her knowledge and skills to support patients and help to create a calm and comfortable environment. As the team’s decontamination lead, Pam also plays a key role in maintaining excellent clinical standards and supporting safe patient care.
When not at work, Pam enjoys keeping active, especially training for and running half-marathons. She is also a devoted cat lover, happily sharing her home with her much loved feline companions.

Haleema Javed

Haleema has been a dental nurse since 2017, she started as an apprentice and loved every moment and went on to become a qualified dental nurse in 2020. Haleema joined University Dental Centre in 2023 and has become a valued member of our team. Haleema finds her role very rewarding and especially enjoys seeing the patient’s reactions following treatment and her involvement in the patient journey.
Haleema has recently become a new mum, which is keeping her very busy. In her free time she enjoys travelling, cooking and watching documentaries.

Leonor De Macedo

Leonor is the newest member of the University Dental Centre, she is currently training to obtain her dental nurse qualification. As a trainee dental nurse Leonor is committed to learning and developing new skills whilst providing exceptional care to patients on a daily basis. Leonor is passionate about her role within the practice and takes great pride in her role. Leonor’s journey in the dental sector is just beginning, and she is excited about future opportunities.
Outside of work, Leonor enjoys reading, travelling and has recently developed a passion for crocheting!
