Qualified Guy’s Hospital London in 1987 with honours and distinction. Abhi has been working at this practice since 1991 as the Lead Clinician. He has extensive experience in Restorative and Implant Dentistry. In addition to being a practitioner, he is a Clinical Teaching Fellow at Warwick University where he is a module leader for MSc courses in Implant and Restorative Dentistry.
He has been awarded the FFGDP(UK) diploma by the Royal College of Surgeons — a significant quality indicator in general practice. He is an elected National Board Member for the FGDP(UK) and is involved in developing quality standards in dentistry.

Colin graduated in 1998 and has worked in hospital posts at the Queen’s University Belfast, Dundee and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. He has been at the University Dental and Implant Centre since 2004. He has had extensive experience and training in Restorative Dentistry and has a MSc in Restorative Dentistry from Leeds University. He has been awarded the prestigious FFGDP(UK) and FDS RCPS(Glasgow).
Colin’s clinical interests are in all areas of Restorative Dentistry including treatment of Tooth Wear, Dentures, Root Canal Treatments.
Colin is currently an examiner for the MJDF examinations at the Royal College of Surgeons England. He has been a Foundation Dentist Trainer for the West Midlands Deanery seven times. Currently he is the Postgraduate Dental Tutor at Shrewsbury and the Training Program Director for Dental Foundation Training at Telford.
Fatimah graduated from The University of Birmingham with Distinction in Clinical Dentistry in 2012 and has been involved with the practice since then. She has also worked at the Royal London Hospital as a Restorative Senior House Officer within this time.
She has a keen interest in undertaking complex tooth wear cases, aesthetic dentistry and she is currently undertaking a MSc in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at Kings College London. Fatimah is also a foundation dentist trainer for the West Midlands Deanery, and is a Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (FGDP) educational tutor for the West Midlands.
Yvonne is our dental hygienist. She completed her training at Guy’s Hospital London in 1982. Yvonne provides oral hygiene services such as scaling, polishing and instruction in how to look after your teeth.
Suzanne qualified as a dental hygienist from Bristol University in 2011. She is on maternity leave until March 2019.
Sarah qualified as a Dental Hygienist from the University of Bristol in 2012. She also has a BSc in Biomedical sciences and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education. Sarah currently works in 3 different practices in the West Midlands as well as being an active member of BSDHT and FGDP.
She has a passion for dental hygiene but also for making sure her patients are at ease during treatment.
Outside work, Sarah enjoys baking and walking her springer spaniel. She is currently covering for Suzanne Watkin whilst she is on leave.
Robinder qualified as a dental hygienist from the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden in 1999. She is currently covering for Suzanne Watkin whilst she is on leave.
Bethan graduated with Honours from the University of Manchester in 2017, and is currently completing her dental foundation training.
I qualified as a dental nurse in 1997, and became a member of the University Dental Centre in 1998 and have been here ever since. I started at the dental centre as a dental nurse all those years ago, but have since gained qualifications in Dental Radiography and Dental Practice Management, and are now the practice manager, although very occasionally I do still help out in surgery. I am registered as a Dental Care Professional with the GDC.
It is lovely to be part of such a great team, we are like one big happy family, that makes it a pleasure to come to work. Aside from work I am married with 2 children and very much enjoy family time at our weekend retreat in the Cotswolds.
I have worked at the dental practice for 26 years. I qualified as an RDN in 1993. I enjoy socializing and reading.
I qualified as a dental nurse in 1991 and joined the dental practice in 1992. I am a part time dental nurse here at the University Dental Centre and a full time mother to 3 children now teenagers.
I am trained in dental implantology and sedation. I take a caring approach with patients and staff, as I am always there with a hand to hold and a sympathetic ear.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my precious family and friends. I have recently discovered my creative side and taught myself to make candles/wax melts for my own pleasure and a little bit of "me time".
I work full time at the University Dental Centre and have been a member of the team since 2005. I am trained in general dental nursing, and also trained in dental implantology.
Over the years I have progressed and undertaken many training courses relating to dental implants. This enables me to work alongside Dr Pal whose patients are predominately under dental implant care or complex dental treatment cases.
I have worked as a Dental nurse since 1987 and gained my dental nurse qualification in 2001. I have been a member of the University Dental and Implant Centre team since 2005 and currently mainly work alongside the Foundation dentist.
I am a mom to 4 children and also have 2 beautiful granddaughters. In my spare time I enjoy long walks/runs with my dalmation dog, Milo.
I am the newest member of the University Dental Centre and I am currently undertaking my Diploma in Dental Nursing with Walsall College, which I aim to complete in March 2019. My aim is to ultimately continue my training and become a Dental Hygienist.
Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym and socializing, and I am currently learning to drive.
